At ABA Toolbox, we are proud to highlight individuals who make a lasting impact in the autism and neurodivergent community. This March, we are excited to feature Carra Dixon, a dedicated author, wife, mother of three, and special education assistant from Philadelphia, PA. With over 20 years of experience supporting both autistic and neurotypical students, Carra has devoted her career to fostering inclusive learning environments.
Now, she is bringing her passion to life through literature with her upcoming children’s book series, "Maleah Makes a Friend." This series follows Maleah, a young urban girl, as she navigates new friendships and learns about autism in an engaging and relatable way.
With three volumes and six books in each, Carra’s series is set to be a game-changer in early autism education—helping kids embrace differences and build meaningful friendships along the way. By weaving inclusion into storytelling, Carra is creating a powerful resource for young readers, educators, and families alike.
